Details

The exhibition, for which the inauguration will be held on Thursday 29 November 2012 at 6.30 p.m., will be open to the public until 18 January 2013.
Contemporary Art Jewels – ceramics for wearing – presents a selection of jewellery pieces by 15 international artists. For the first time in Italy, visitors can see these fine creations in ceramic, true artists' jewellery pieces, ceramics that can be worn!
Officine Saffi presents this sophisticated review of contemporary ceramic jewellery, objects that are made unique by the artists' skill and originality. The shapes, colours and details are startling, creating a wide variety of pieces.
They include the glittering fish caught in the oxidized webbing nets in necklaces by Nina Sajet; alluring and seductive objects by Martha Pachon inspired by African traditional objects; urban landscapes by Korean artist Seyon Kim; bamboo d’eté by Shu Lin Wu; the light creations in porcelain flakes by Luca Tripaldi; the silvery pieces by Violine Ulmer; the sophisticated miniatures by Peter Hoogeboom; and more.
The gallery will also be showing "historic" ceramic jewellery from a private collection.
The artists presented are:
Maria Agozzino, Agata Bartos, Edith Bellod, Trinidad Contreras, Fabrizio Dusi, Peter Hoogeboom, Soyeon Kim, Martha Pachon, Judith Peterohff, Nina Sajet, Luca Tripaldi, Violaine Ulmer, Iris Verstappen, Pauline Wiertz, and Shu Lin Wu.

Artists from a private collection:
Enrico Baj, Giacinto Cerone, Ceramiche Gatti, Ana Cecilia Hilar, Roberto Sebastian Matta, Pietro Melandri, and Luigi Ontani.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a book published by OS Publishing, with introductory text by Alessandra Quattordio.
A calendar of events – conferences, meetings and performances – open to the public will be programmed during the exhibition period..
