OFFICINE SAFFI HOST THE 58th PREMIO FAENZA

Officine Saffi continues its partnership with the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza, hosting the works of award-winning artists at the 58th Premio Faenza.
Wednesday, october 16th at 18:30 will be inaugurated at Officine Saffi Gallery the exposition of Premio Faenza winners and the honorable mentions assigned.
In particular there will be the finnish Paivi Ritaniemi, winner of the over 40 section with Avis, a poetic work on the challenges of existence that for the artist are part of a series of “portraits of change”, Nero/Alessandro Neretti who was awarded of the under 40 award for his installation I nuovi apostoli ovvero Paesaggi economico-strutturali combining ceramic sculpture with wood pallets and paintings hung on walls in a narrative that put in contrast nature and economic dogmas “that govern the current global systems,” and the serbian Ljiubica Jocic - Knezevic winner of Premio Cersaie with the work Analysis and implementation of the global game plan, reviewing an element common to all cultures, ceramics, reactivated in form and matter, with frames praising the baroque.
Within the three winners there will be works by artists who have achieved honorable mentions: Silvia Celeste Calcagno, Chiara Camoni, Jane King, Stela Ivanova, Tony Lattimer, Liv Brita Malnes, Graciela Olio, Zhao PingPing, Paolo Polloniato, Sophie Ronse, Cheung Shing Tsang, Mattia Vernocchi.
