Details

The teapot is the classic functional object, but it can also be a work of art and a piece of design. For an artist, it represents an expressive challenge, and an invitation for experimentation.

The choice of techniques and materials, and the harmonious composition of the component parts (base, body, infusion receptacle, lid, spout, handle) are a direct expression of the artist's personality. Sometimes the functional element prevails, and sometimes the sculptural potential of these objects that play a significant part in everyday life.
