Workshop and demonstration by Shozo Michikawa.
Two meetings to discover the dynamics and sculptural forms by the Japanese artist Shozo Michikawa at Argillà Italy, with the unique opportunity to experience the master's techniques.
Shozo Michikawa will be demonstrating his unique process of cutting and facetting work that is then expanded on the wheel to produce his dynamic sculptural forms and explore the following areas: altering forms, composite forms, faceting and cutting clay.
The participants who are interested can take turns at the wheel to put into practice the techniques demonstrated. A reasonable skill level on the potter's wheel is necessary.
